I personally enjoyed attending the
Seward Rotary Club meeting on August 30, 2005. The people were very gracious and
generous. They bought all our lunches! Visiting other Clubs is now a priority in
my Rotary book!!! It was great to meet so many other Rotarians and to see how
another Club conducts their meeting.
The four of us (Eileen Demain, Ginny Grupp, Carol Sanner and I) caught
eighteen big Silver Salmon. Fred Esposito, the President of the Seward Rotary
Club, was amazing as our Captain and fearless leader! He taught us how to fish
for the Salmon, baited all our lines, took the fish off the hooks, bonked them
for us, and stayed out with us until after 7:00 p.m. AND, he cleaned all the
fish and sent us home with a cooler full of filets! What a guy!!!! We owe him
big time when he visits us! Yes, we all had fish fever and didn't want to quit.
Fred told us "the limit doubles after midnight". We considered staying, but
three of our group had to be at work very early the next day.
I'm sorry the rest of our club missed the day of fishing! It was one of the
grandest times the four of us have ever had fishing! A great day! And Fred was
so amazing! Thanks to all for making this Club exchange such a success!
